This was a Brilliant project where I was commissioned to create separate sculptures for two clients in Mallorca and Menorca. The project was inspired by some ink drawings I had made from life of the wild balearic goats which seem to pop up all over the islands, often high up on rocks or cliffs. I wanted to stay true to two original drawings in particular, which emphasise the craning neck. In Greek and Roman mythology, the goat is often associated with lust. This one is perhaps looking for a mate. The Bronze was cast at Pangolin Foundry and I organised end to end transport and personally installed Both the sculptures on site.
